This study aims to describe the forerunner of Islamic legal thought during Khulafaur rasyidin era and explain development Khulafaurrasydin era. research is qualitative; type library uses a historical approach. The data collection method used literature study. results showed that; 1) It can be understood that Ansar were forerunners birth regarding successor Prophet as leader state religion, this seen in event meeting at Saqifah Bani Sa'idah discussion Prophet. 2) Khulafaurrasyidin period achievements four periods government. Starting from caliph Abu Bakr, 'Umar bin Khattab, 'Uṡmān 'Affan, 'Ali Abi Talib.
